CFAC- Choice For A Change
CFAC (Choice for a change)- a Voluntary and Independent movement:
Change is always inevitable and the dream
of positive change of something always exists in most of us, at least
for self. It’s letting down when we look at the capacities of the individuals
and groups that are not utilized to the maximum, as there is no direction and encouragement or
effort. CFAC (Choice for a change) is an initiative to build an integration between
people to do their best in the best manner that gives greater happiness. It
aims to build a network of volunteers and professionals who have different
interests and talents, and help them to realize and utilize their fullest capacities
in a meaningful manner so that it may benefit the self as well as others.
Today we live in a fast-moving and
competitive environment that makes the people forget about others and pursue
whatever is beneficial for the self, though it may affect the other person. We
are born and brought up with the selfish causes and selfishness is the root
cause of all problems. In order to promote the social outlook in people,
Choice for a Change (CFAC) aims at creating a space for the people above 16
years (preliminarily) to contribute their time, treasure, and talents for the
common good.
It will be
an unregistered and non-profitable organization, and CFAC will never yearn for
establishment but just be functional through networking organizations (especially
non-profitable) or individuals and support in their establishment.

Vision:
To encourage every individual or
an organization to utilize the maximum potential in possible ways for the
positive change with the higher values.
Mission:
Entrust, Engage, Equip or Empower
an individual or an organization according to the interests and needs of self
and community, by Love towards self as well as others with integration and
networking, for the welfare of one another without discrimination on any regard and
for attaining joy and peace.
Possible Activities:
I. Association of individuals and institutions interested in Social welfare in a village/town, block, district, state and nation for integration and networking.
II. Identifying and Involving the Volunteers in the Social welfare activities as individuals, small groups or though the organizations.
III. Linking the people towards the Educational and Employment opportunities of their interests or that are available and accessible for them.
IV. Conducting program and Events for the target group according to the need/ area of interest in an approachable and effective way.
V. Designing concept, outline, posters, and content for different programs appropriately according to the need of the target group.
VI. Consolidation of the Reports, Data Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Entry, Survey, Research and Other Documentation work according to the need.
VII. Training and support for individuals and for the organizations in values, foundational skills and Leadership, according to the need.
I.
Association of individuals and institutions
interested in Social welfare
Ways of working
Each Block (Cluster of Villages/towns/cities)
will have different places or NGO’s and GO’s in which many people will be
working for the welfare of the people. A representative from each of it shall
be part of the field level association. A representative from the field
level associations shall be part of the first (District) level association. A
representative from the first level association shall be part of the second (State)
level association. A representative from the second level association shall be
part of the third (nation) level association. Even if there is a need, there shall
be Local association at the Village/ Town/ City level.
Yearly twice the association meeting
could be held first at the field level (and locally if it exists) during March and September, but
communication can be between the representatives frequently, about the programs
and events that would benefit target groups but associated with different
individuals or organizations. Likewise, the meeting could be held next for the first
level association during April and October, for second-level association in May
and November, and for the third level association in June and December. If there is an emergency condition like a disaster or epidemic or riot, a meeting shall be called on in between.
The plans for the next 6 months
and a brief report about the works of the individuals, different NGO’s and GO’s
can be presented during the meeting.
Possibility of working together
by different NGO’s and GO’s can be analyzed.
Suggestions for improvements
could be shared, also suggestions for starting something new can be told.
Roles and Responsibilities:
There will be a rolling association
(per year) members, based on election/ selection in the first meeting. A person who has once been part of the association shall not be a member again (for many faces
to take a chance) in the same association for the next 8 years (applies for all
four level association). Maybe the person shall part of the any of the other
three-level associations.
The association shall
elect/select the president, secretary, and treasurer to convene and conduct the meeting, as well as make sure that the communication is spread on to the field by all the representatives.
II.
Identifying and Involving the Volunteers
Ways of working
People will be working for the welfare of the people. They shall set
aside some time, weekly 2 hours to equip/ engage the new people who are
interested in social welfare activities
Meet the communities,
social institutions and educational institutions and try to involve individuals
and groups to involve in the social welfare activities with the individuals
nearby or through nearby organizations.
III.
Linking Educational and Employment opportunities
People who are willing to work
for the welfare of people shall surely be connected with the people who are
looking for Educational and Employment opportunities.
People who are willing to work
for the welfare of people shall also be connected with other people in their
contacts who support education and knew job vacancies or other people who work
for the welfare of people who in turn would have been connected with other
people who support education and know job vacancies
IV.
Conducting program and Events
Programs and Events such as
awareness and Community organizations to the fun events may be left out because
of lack of time, ideas or resources, but at the same time, it may be needed.
The individuals or the organizations that are working for a similar interest for the same kind of need can be requested to plan the program/event or conduct the program/event, without it being left out.
V. Designing concept, outline, posters, and content
for the different programs appropriately according to the need of the target
group.
Individuals or organizations may
have a passion to do social welfare but may not be able to design concept,
outline, posters, or content for the program they wish to do.
People who are expertise in it,
shall be connected for support in the work, without the passion been passed
without being put it to action.
VI.
Documentation works according to the need.
Individuals or organizations may
already been doing good social welfare activities but may lack the skill to
documentation such as Consolidation of
the Reports, Data Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Entry, Survey,
Research, etc.
People who are expertise in Documentation
works shall be connected for support in the work, for record and analysis
for betterment.
VII. Training and support for individuals and for the
organizations in values, foundational skills, and Leadership, according to the
need.
Individuals or organizations may
already been doing fair social welfare activities but need training or support
in the basic skills/ values that would change their perspective and work better
People who are expertise in
training and support in foundational skills/values shall be connected for
equipping for the work.
Regulations:
No Interference in the internal
matters and policies, also in the decision of an individual or organization’s
work towards a particular community or specialization of work and way of working
No compromise in the Ethics and
Morals that are of higher values and standards.
Allegations on a particular
Individual or an Organization that affect people or the environment shall be
brought forward only with valid proof of mismanagement or mishandling.
Corrections and Improvements will
be concentrated to the best, rather than blaming and accusing.
Discrimination or degradation of
a person based on the past life or based on any regard of location, caste,
religion, possession, designation, work, or language will not be entertained and
tolerated at any cost.
Remuneration:
The worker deserves their wages. So the supporters or sponsors shall be linked with the individuals or organizations who are involved in the worthy welfare work. At the same time, the volunteers shall be encouraged to do their work completely with no demands and expectations. Everyone shall be encouraged to give their best towards one another.
Works for Groups or Organizations:
Rs. 0-200 /beneficiary for an hour work + Other expenses including Travel & Materials for the cause
Rs. 0-350/ beneficiary for half day's work (3-4 hrs) + Other expenses including Travel & Materials for the cause
Rs. 0-500/ beneficiary for a full day's work (6-8 hrs) + Other expenses including Travel & Materials for the cause
Works for an Individual/ Organization:
Rs. 0-500 for an hour work + Other expenses including Travel & Materials for the cause
Though the cost to works always exists, the cost shall not be a matter of concern. An Individual /Group who are benefitted shall provide what is possible or even utilize the service without any cost if they are really deserving. We shall try to provide at least the actual expenditures made by a volunteer through some sponsors.
