 LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

INTRODUCTION:

In the midst of discriminations, influences, and addictions it is very difficult for the people to be confident and responsible, though there is a desire for a positive change. It is important to encourage and create interests to utilize the potential to the maximum in whatever they wish to and they are good at.

To be a self-sustaining community in a fast-developing environment, people need to be change-makers and be an inspiration for one another.

FOCUS GROUPS:

Training/ Support shall be provided for the people who are available and interested in the welfare of others in villages/ Areas. The targeted age group is 13years and above, and anyone who is interested in contributing something positively to the society around.  An ideal group shall be around 8-12 members. The Leadership Development Program may be a platform for the people to develop themselves holistically and help to influence others around them, through the leadership qualities and responsibilities.

TRAINING ACTIVITIES:

The following sessions shall be conducted for the people in a scheduled time, weekly once, two weeks once or monthly once, in the Leadership Development theme and focus.

Note: The Themes and Suggestive Action Plans shall be subjected to change based on the need of the target group. 

SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES:

Variety of activities by the individuals/ groups that help in the development of the people mutually and the special innovations for the welfare of the people shall be supported through the individuals/organizations who are interested in it.

WAY TO WORK:

An Individual or an Organization shall who are interested in developing leaders shall meet the people in the community that is nearby and share about the idea of Leadership Development to people/ leaders / influential people/ head of local institutions/ groups and try to identify the available and interested people. Even if only a few of them are there, the meeting together shall be started weekly once, once in two weeks or monthly once for 1-1.5 hours for sharing some thoughts, brainstorming, and action; and slowly the people might be added. Continuous support and guidance shall be provided, beyond the meeting in a possible way.

It might be disappointing and discouraging when some people are ignorant but still shall neglect and focus on those who need it. After continuous follow up of three times, shall leave those who are ignorant.

The average time for leading the Leadership Development of a group in this manner in a moderate way 3-4 hours including preparation, travel, and further guidance per week/ two weeks/month based on the time that is committed. It’s nearly just 2 % of the overall time/ week, 1% / two weeks and 0.5% /month and that is much negligible compared to the time we spend for entertainment or our personal interests.

Remuneration:

Rs. 0-500 for an hour work per person shall be got based on the financial capacity of the participant/ institution.
