"Exposing Career Choices and Opportunities to choose appropriately and pursue it"

INTRODUCTION:

Career Development Program will help the people understand that a Career is progress through life and not just choosing the work for making a living. It will help the people Understand that Career involves utilizing the opportunities, capacities and interests to progress in life by balancing different aspects of life. Career Development Program will also help the people to know the different choices that are available in the career and setting SMART goals in life for pursuing a suitable Career.

CONTINUOUS SUPPORT:

The People shall get to know different skills and knowledge that are needed and appropriate for a particular field or work, which they have to explore and equip themselves to reach their ambition. The people shall get exposure to different educational institutions such as schools, colleges, skill development centers around them, according to their interest. Needed people could be supported by guiding or mentoring with study materials, to reach the profession of their interest with the help of specialized professionals. The people who are looking for the Job opportunities and also those who are interested in Entrepreneurship could be encouraged and supported in that, according to their interests with the help of other appropriate people.

OUTCOME THAT COULD BE EXPECTED:

The Career Development Program would give or strengthen the direction and purpose for the people, for their lives. It would ignite their thoughts and help them to initiate towards personal, professional, and social development by knowing different skills that are needed for reaching their Ambition.

The Youth or the People who had never thought about their future would become ambitious with the knowledge gained about different career options and opportunities. The knowledge of different opportunities available for them would help them to least bother about the hindrances they feel because of various dilemmas.

The Youth or People who are exposed to different things would strive to develop themselves in their behavioral and work skills using different opportunities, and would get a thought to become responsible and confident citizens of the nation.

WAY OF WORKING:

An Individual or an Organization who are interested in Career Development of the people shall meet the people in the community that is nearby and share the idea of Career Development to people/ leaders / influential people/ head of local institutions/ groups and try to identify the available and interested people.

It might be disappointing and discouraging when some people are ignorant but still shall neglect and focus on those who need it. After continuous follow up of three times, shall leave those who are ignorant.

Initially, about 1.5 hours shall be taken to briefly present the needed content about understanding self, setting up Goals, different Career choices, and different skills needed if it is a formal meet with above 10 people.  It could be done individually and informally or for a group of any number of participants formally. The target participants would be above 13 years.  Then the continuous follow-up time for the individual people or group may take as per the need and availability.

Remuneration:

Rs. 0-500 for an hour work per person shall be got based on the financial capacity of the participant/ institution.
